Anyone else in “I’ll do my job description and nothing more” mode? I’ve gone above and beyond for my company for a while, and all I got was my quarterly bonuses and remote work taken away without explanation. Owner says he wants more “team building” from his florida mansion (we’re in the northeast). Half the company remote, half the company in the office with 0 explanation why. My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager.
