How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?

Everyone going office regularly?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I often have to explain to older generations that our generation has resources to know (before they start a job), what they should be paid and what the work experience will be like. You can’t say ppl don’t want to work when the reality is you aren’t willing to compensate them accordingly for their work.
Completely agree. They aren’t willing to offer what other companies offer, and that’s fine, to each their own. But when some companies get thousands of applications a month and your company gets 0. There is clearly something people are looking for, and your reluctancy to change is holding your company as a whole down. Another 15 years max and we won’t even have to worry about this when they’re all out of the work force. Sadly many of their companies will fail if they don’t adapt. My company is finally considering Salesforce and it’s feels like Xmas 🤣 we’re toast
Came from a place like this. Hope you're interviewing!
Trying to but seems like every sales job wants a crazy amount of travel these days which I’m not able to do. I make decent money and with a recession looming it makes it hard to leave at the moment . Hopeful for Q2 next year. Rock and a hard place.
It's easy to ignore those voices when you realize that ageism isn't a protected discrimination trait in America for young people ONLY the old. Companies literally will not care about you as much as previous generations. Those people that say you don't want to work are just snowflakes
