Managers tend to forget things.. They have a lot going on, but you can always remind them and even suggest ideas. Have you tried to express your feelings to your manager? If you use the right tone, showing how much you miss it, the hundle could easily come back!
Yeah I’ve tried bringing it up, but the response is usually that it’s a corporate decision and out of their hands. I get they’ve got a lot on their plate, but it still gets frustrating.

My experience has been the opposite. Corporate wants huddles, and my staff feels they are a waste of time. ESPECIALLY when labour is cut, yet again, and there are two of us opening. Hard to do a huddle with one other person.
Yeah, I get that. It’s tough when labour is already cut and you’re trying to juggle a huddle with barely enough people to run the floor.
I feel like this is how everything in retail goes. They start out these initiatives with the intentions of making these big changes, and then they last for a couple of weeks before life gets in the way and it never happens again.
Exactly! Starts off all motivated, then after a couple weeks it’s like it never existed. Retail in a nutshell.

That’s rough. Those small moments of connection can make a huge difference, especially in chaos. Without them, it’s easy to feel like you’re just grinding solo instead of part of a team. Hope you get that back sometime soon.
