Is it good to get stocks as part of CTC which has 4 years vesting period?

CTC looks high due to this stocks but effectively i would not be getting it for the 4 years. Also the yearly hike includes this stock component.

CTC had fixed, variable and stock part. Variable and stock is almost 30% of total ctc.

Really confused if this is a good deal or is it a trap.

5 years post-MBA and all my classmates are VPs in industry or Principals in consulting/IB (some are even Partners/MDs already). I sat in the same classes with these folks for 2 years — probably outperformed some of them academically. Yet, here I am continuing to struggle with my student debt payments, hoping that “Uncle Joe” forgives 20% of it. I’ll never have that kind of earning potential because I didn’t come from the “right background” pre-MBA.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

So, recently got phished while staying at Marriott Peachtree Hotel in ATL. Received call to my room at 12:30 am from the “GM” who knew my name (and room number obviously). Need to vent for a minute. I am a middle school librarian. I service 5-8 grade students. My library ran smooth as ice cream this past year. I made my own classes and times students were allowed to check in out books. I serviced a grade a day and on Fridays everyone was allowed to come get books. We have new administration and this year I have class periods and one planning period like a regular teacher. I have 27 students in each class. " Ridiculous." Has your library changed?

Has anybody used grants to try and get new library furniture? If so, what did you use?

Curious what system everyone uses for cataloging books. We use the free version of Koha and no longer use the Dewey decimal system but catalog by genre, ie. mystery, science fiction, contemporary, action, historical fiction, etc. I took over the library after this format was set in place.
