You do you OP. I personally did not. I think getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse is a good thing.
And I never voted for Trump in case you were wondering.

The bigger problem with things like defense contracts is that they are administered based on a cost plus model. Meaning the government will pay a certain amount above the cost. Seems like a great idea because you are limiting upside. But then what companies do is inflate the cost.
For example if the government says we will pay you a 10% profit. And you say you cost was $100. Then the profit is $10. What if next year I want more profit. Simply increase costs to $110 and get $11 in profit.
In other words people have figured out how to game the system. The incentives are off and the process needs to change. One option. Zero based budgeting.
What were you protesting?
I am. And he’s not staffing with anti-vaxxers. He’s staffing with scientists and experts who are not bought by big pharma. You don’t find it a coincidence or conflict of interest that it’s a rotating door for cdc top staff and Merck and Pfizer c suite and CEOs?
I hate the "The R (or D depending on which administration proposed) are going to take away your social security" outburst every time someone tries to make even the most modest change. We've known for decades it was not sustainable long term without some modifications and, if done earlier, minor modifications would be sufficient but if we wait until closer to 2035 or so they may need to be drastic. Maybe Trump as a lame duck will actually be willing to do what needs to be done.
Ps that won't be gutting your social security entitlement, if anything it will be preserving it as inaction will likely be worse than any changes this administration could make, and I say this despite the current tariff debacle!
Taking money away from billionaires would accomplish more than funding more programs that help ordinary working Americans. It would also diminish their ability to buy our elected leaders and force policies upon the rest of us that benefit themselves at the expense of the rest of us.
FYI- politically speaking, major changes have happened in this country when 3.5% of the population gets out to march (peacefully).
Last Sat on April 5Th we had 2% of the population.
If you’re frustrated or sad with what you’re seeing, if you are close to losing you re business, or just fed up- come out and March.
