How’s everyone doing?

At 50 I left a global services corp to head marketing for maturing startup: they appreciate my experience, & it allows me to stretch my scope. Good trade off for an older guy who was never going to get the top global corp job.
I’m 33 and often think about this, especially the “what’s next” because it’ll be here before I know it. Not bad or sad, just something I think about.
Been freelancing for the last nine years. Love my life, no changes planned. I'm 53.

Currently going through a job change, not by choice. Interesting options - marketing leadership at small orgs or same Dir roles for biggums. Mostly in product marketing. Feel slightly under qualified since I’ve been focused on strategy roles for many years...cross fingers
I often wonder where they all went.
Moved to in-house and love it. Much better pay, normal hours, great benefits, good environment. Sure the work is mostly boring and creative-by-committee but the pros far outweigh the cons. (For me.)
I did the same - freelanced for a few years in my late 40s, and at 50 went in-house as a CD Copy. And yes, the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
At 37 and pregnant with my second child I often wonder if I’ll be somehow magically laid off in the next 5 years. Yes still a Sr strat after switching careers at 32, starting from ground floor, then moving to a smaller market. Maybe I’ll stay affordable?
I think the expectation is that everyone may lose their job, but the magic trick is to make yourself marketable.
