The upfront of the deck matters way more than you think. Get them nodding and explain in great detail how it will help them achieve their goals.
You need to get the account team on board.
They deal with the client way more than you ever will. And if they don't believe in the work, in creativity, then they won't push it and argue for it.
The whole agency needs to be on the same page. You'll almost never do it on your own.
There must me… some other way!
The clients need to trust you. That means they trust that the work you are showing them is actually going to solve their business problem. Trust takes a while to build but is absolutely worth investing in.
Patience. And a demonstration of actual interest in your clients business will help. Long term thinking builds that “creative bar”.
Unfortunately, everyone (clients and agencies) don’t have that patience. Especially if you’re part of a network.
