Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?
That old 737 aesthetic

If you’re a woman or a person of colour and the people making more than you are not, You need to get on par ASAP.
Make your case for a raise based on the value you bring and how much you deserve. Don't base your argument only on how much you are paid relative to your co-workers. The fact they make more than you is more of a support argument than your main argument. You may not know all the reasons behind why they earn what they earn.
Pay is not always based solely on a job description. It’s often based on merit and how valuable you are to your team. It is not uncommon for this to go under the radar. Ask for more but only after you do an audit of your contributions. What was the quality of your work? Did you go above and beyond? Etc. Then present this with specific examples to your manager before you ask for more. Build a compelling case. It’s tricky using the comparison to your colleagues as the only reason for a raise.
