Run a APM, PM + a few project, implementation and scum managers. We’re in saas but for some reason drifted away from the technical title and hiring less of the project, scrum etc.

Product strategy and development
I think it’s hard to divorce the technical with the business. A technical PM without business insight is still a weak PM. A business PM without the technical know-how may be pretty lacking in the implementation side. A well-rounded PM knows the business strategy, technology stack, and a deep pulse on the customer journey and pain points, as well as competitive advantages and disadvantages.
Can happen for a number or reasons (size of company or also if eng and r&d is in a different country so you need a more business oriented pm to talk to customers - also seen it called in market or outbound). Can also see some of these functions taken on by pmm or biz ops/ (product) strategy
