I faced challenges during my job search, and in the process, I discovered a common problem—manually tracking job applications in an Excel spreadsheet. As a result, I developed a Chrome Extension that automatically saves jobs you’ve viewed or applied for, parses and stores details like salary, location, and even the cost of commuting to the office, sends reminders for upcoming interviews and follow-ups with HR, helps you prepare for interviews and track interview stages, and shows conversion rates at each stage -from resume screening to technical interviews - so you can identify where you are losing opportunities. Additionally, the tool will be enhanced with AI-driven insights, providing personalized tips and recommendations based on your job search funnel, and matchmaking with consultants and industry leaders who can support your job search and help you improve.

4. GlassDoor reviews for the role I am applying should look good,
5. Company cannot be a startup(no work life balance)

Money,location andprojection
1. Compensation & location
2. Direct report to leadership
3. Team size
4. Gut feeling after talking to the hiring manager on the role beyond the job post description nonsense. Gives me an idea of what they’re looking for at if they are looking to fill in a spot on a team on maintenance mode
Rising Star
1 - Remote
2 - Money
3 - General "Culture"
4 - Interesting things to work on
5 - Company size (prefer 100-600 people)
Agree with others on most of the core items (comp, remote, etc). A big one for me now though is do I know someone there. Ideally I’d go where I know the hiring manager (it’s someone I’ve worked with before) or I’m working with someone I worked with before and it’s someone I like a trust.
Been a few times a future manager was very normal and cool in the interview process and then once I started the role they turned out to be a complete psychopath and/or moron. So now, if I can help it, I’d like to know someone there before I jump.

I don't consider remote work much anymore (dwindling job pool and very tough screening). So location is number 1. You save money by living closer to work and you enjoy a better life. I'm not driving more than a hour for daily office work and maybe I'll go an a hour and a half or 2 hours for very light hybrid schedule (once a week). Long commutes kill your body and delete a ton of free time / relaxation. Outside of my minimum salary need (#2), I don't really care about much else. I don't believe most jobs will be long lasting and I'm no longer loyal or care about relationships or any other bs. I see through it and know I'll be fired without much regard for my actual production.
1) Is it the right kind of role? I am qualified to take on tasks where I will never feel happy or productive. I don't want those jobs.
2) Proper health insurance. Yes, this should be slam dunk but I have encountered exceptions and I cannot buy what I need from Marketplace.
3) No worse than 3 days/week in office. Health management overhead means I don't have the time for more than that.
4) What are the long-term consequences of the role? Stability and skill building are most of this.
5) Money
1- Matching skills
2- remote
3- Compensation
4- Glassdoor Rating
5- Vacation
