Personal preference, but I don’t wear these to work, and never have. There is always a casual or non-work (banquet vibe) feel to them for me. And when I look at executives, I don’t see them wearing these.
As long as your feet aren't stinky or gross-looking I say go for it.

Depends on the office. In finance - it's a "no go". But in the summer, I commute in sandals and change to oxfords in the office.
