Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. Been in Seattle for ~1 year and something I’ve observed is the constant s*it-talking of the city from the locals. Is this because they haven’t experienced other places? While the current homelessness in the city needs to be handled, crime is still relatively low compared to other major cities. The complaints about gloominess also seems a bit dramatic. My work gives us points/money for achieving certain activities such as exercising for 180 mins per week. I have my Apple Watch automatically sync with the app that tracks our activities and it works great. Problem is I started using NRC (Nike run Club) app for runs and it interferes with the Workout app on my Apple Watch and it doesn’t get tracked. Has anyone found a way for the NRC and Workout app to run simultaneously (pun intended)?

I’m currently a tax senior associate at M&A group with a big four thinking about switching to international tax group because international stuff sounds more interesting. What does international tax group do day-to-day at a big four (heard could be more compliance work)? Will you actually learn the rules on subpart F, GILTY, FDII etc.? And is the workload more constant compared to M&A?

Thoughts on when 965 regulations will actually drop?

Question to the group: what is the current pay for intl tax manager in Big 4 in high living cost areas ( e.g. bay area)? Currently in a national firm, the annual total compensation is about 150k with law background.
