-Add all of your contacts on LinkedIn (from your company and clients).
-Ask manager for any parting feedback/advice.
-Clean up your desk/computer history/etc a few days in advance so you don’t get left with everything on the last day.
-Download any projects, templates, files that you may want to reference back to.
-Do an exit interview; be constructive and honest
Thank you!
Leave gracefully no matter the situation.
Close out your projects and try to set up your successor with info that will help them ramp up. (To clarify, no one says you have to give them everything, just enough to help with the momentum).
Leave any gossip to yourself (or keep it as vague as possible so you're not going to set yourself up for hiccups in the future).
Stay connected with people you want to keep in contact with, don't just ghost them and show up 2 years later to ask them for networking help.
On the last day, be gracious and thank all those you worked with. Even the ones you didn't work too closely with because appreciation goes a long way.
Second everything here!
Also, don’t forget to log out of iMessage, photos, etc and delete EVERYTHING off work computer.
I also wish I would have saved more client projects and campaigns beforehand to be able to reference/use for interviews, etc.
Can you be more specific?
Really a general question! Is there anything you’ve learned from switching jobs that you think someone else might benefit from. For example someone told me (and I wouldn’t have thought of it) to pull my project videos from the server in case usage expires.
