Sometimes is can be useful to not use derived principles or goals as they may unnecessarily close off other worthwhile solutions.
For example, if you are following a principle “we need to maximise product A market penetration” you may miss out on other value adding things like developing a different product or refocussing product A on a more profitable but not larger market segment.
These additional solutions may be more obvious if you instead applied a very low level principle like “we need to make the most money”. That frees up your thinking from the assumptions embedded in more developed principles.
They want you to know that they are playing 4D chess, and you are a peasant (in their mind, not mine 😀 ❤️)
It means, I don’t know what it means so I’m going to break it down to basics and try to build up to your idea. It’s a fancy way of telling you they don’t know and want you to feel dumb as they try to work it out
Clearly a far right dog whistle
