What do people think about cybersecurity jobs in Canada,
I have experience of 5 years working with 2 M NCs(India) and one contract position at a startup in Canada during my post graduation now I’m finding it tough, what is the scope and future for cybersecurity in Canada

As per the news, I see that Canada is going to spend more on the defence ecosystem. Would that add to the cyber security in Canada?

How is EY’s SAP practice? Overall, so they focus more on new implementations (S/4) or auditing existing ones? How is the overall company focus on growing the SAP practice?

For staff/seniors in public accounting. Would you rather be paid 1 1/2 for your tax season overtime hours or would you prefer to wait for a big fat bonus check at the end of the company year? I heard KMPG paid overtime at 1.5 back in the day when the others didn't. I am sure they have now cut that out though.

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Currently looking for my first job in Cybersecurity. I have a 4 year degree in CIS and emphasis in Security, but no Certifications yet. Asking for advise- is it possible to get my first job in this field without having a Cert yet? Or do most companies want a degree and certs right off the bat?

I want to hear your horror stories as a service provider. I'll start. At a previous company... we were contractually obligated to have deployed (and provided 24x7 monitoring of) an AT&T Cybersecurity product suite for a managed network client, but we never deployed the solution. They paid us for the 24x7 monitoring and the software for MONTHS. When they realized it, we owed them almost $27k.
