Cognizant does not have the best culture imho.
Not a bad place. Definitely a little lower on the food chain than big 4.
There are 3 main business lines, staff aug aka “resident consulting”, implementation and management consulting.
I can’t speak for the first two, but they have a reputation of being offshore heavy.
That said the company is in the midst of a big reorganization with a CEO approaching his first year. I’d give it a chance. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
A2 depend on the practice that you. I am thankful that I made the move. Had the same cold feet just like you as well. It is very similar compare to Accenture but def not prestigious. If you care about the name then yes stay w ACN. I care more about the money, wlb.
I really appreciate all y’all’s feedback and guidance. It gives me a lot to think about
As C1 stated, it all depends on which practice you’re in. I’m on the management consulting side as well and came to Cognizant from the Big 4. While there are the usual politics as any other place, I’d say it’s less bureaucratic than the Big 4. We are a low-cost option with a lot of former Big 4 talent and with a large offshore support presence.
Cognizant health insurance is really good. Lots of options and low cost compared to big4 so you have at least one thing to look forward to!
I’m paying $614 a month for a PPO family plan. I was paying more than that for an HSA / high deductible at PwC.
What’s that run at EY?
Just an anecdote: My friend was at a tiny company and then it got acquired by a much larger one and they doubled his salary. Of course these things are always different
Nobody I know that went to work for them them stayed more than 6 months.
