I am seven years out of law school having worked exclusively in the public sector. I’m concluding a district court clerkship and about to begin working as an AUSA (criminal). The USAO has a three year commitment. If I choose to leave after that time, what are my job prospects in big law? Crossposted. Looking for advice. I’ve got 10+ years as an attorney and have been trying to go in house for over a year. I have a generalist background (although I’m primarily a litigator) and was a partner at an Amlaw 100 firm. I’ve had my resume reviewed and keep getting great feedback. Not getting many interviews and when I do, I’m not getting offers despite positive interviews. How do I differentiate myself? Should I get some sort of certification or specialty? This is getting depressing.

Is this two low an offer or am I being silly? Offered £50k for a Legal Ops role by streaming company but from research same role at company in US pay is 130USD. YOE5 across Big Four and IP with some Tech SaaS work.

I am looking to go in-house and I thought all of the interviews went well at one company. A week after my last interview, the internal recruiter contacted me just to touch base. 3 days later, I received an offer from another company and I contacted the recruiter from the job I want to tell her and she said she would check with the hiring manager and that we should she responded, “stay in close touch.” I emailed today casually to see if there was any update.
