What's the best way to go about in such a scenario. To try changing the role within the org or start looking out?
And if looking elsewhere,should I start as a beginner?
Google and IDF certifications in hand. Also have a portfolio

I have started my career in backend web development. (NodeJS)
It's been one year.
So far I like what I'm doing.
However I hear so many stories of how people in cloud , ML or data science earn huge packages.
So, to survive or earn well, should I consider switching to any of these ?
If possible could you help me with what to learn and any resources for that ?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?

My Skill set is Informatica Power Centre, Teradata, SQL, Python, Tableau, Autosys (batch scheduler) and advanced excel. I am looking for a switch, how much compensation/salary would be fair to ask on the basis of my experience and skill set?

I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. I’m looking to move around the company so that I can make commission but I don’t want to be an account manager. Can anyone tell me if there are Customer Success Managers, etc positions that manage customers post sale and have a similar range base as me with commission plans? I’m just trying to understand income potential.

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?
