What exactly happens during a stealth layoff generally? I’m assuming they ask you to look for another job and let you stay on for a bit while you but is that correct? And during that time period do you have access to your firm email and laptop so you can use it to compile job application materials (list for conflicts checks etc.)? And do you get paid your year end bonus if you met your hours already if the layoff happens at you end of year review?

I also have a master's in software engineer from California and worked in US for 2.5yrs. What do you wear when your firm sends you to do law school recruitment? (I’m a woman fwiw)

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Essentially all I did was note whether certain agreements have change of control provisions, and if so, what the specific language is. I understand what the CoC do, but why am I doing this?
