I haven't had a single job care about a single grade ever since graduating from college. I was always told that my grades would matter in the working world and they never have. Not a single employer has ever asked, they just care if you graduate or not.

See I thought this would be the case! Thanks so much

I don't think anyone ever asked me about grades. Just worry about connections.

Okay thank you. Shall I start going
To networking groups maybe?!
Multi-faceted question. To get into finance directly out of college it is heavily reliant on internships. There are a limited number of junior roles that open every year and they typically go to interns that proved themselves and got return offers. To get internships in competitive teams they generally have an automated GPA filter at 3.5, but prioritize good schools and 3.8+. That said I had a like 2.7 gpa but experience to standout. I got super lucky though and am an outlier, not the norm.

Ahh unfortunately I’m not in the position to be able to do an internship as much as I’d like to
Definitely experience matters more in this job market.

I don’t have any! How do I go forwards? I’m not in the position to do an internship either
For hires straight out of undergrad, I recruit from schools where I know the quality of the students they produce in the majors I'm hiring, so I never worry about grades. I do look for relevant internship experiences, leadership opportunities, and certifications in their resumes, then explore those as well as cultural fit during the interview process. We maintain an internship program for entry-level role development, so, not surprisingly, most of our opportunities are filled by the pool we have developed. The internships serve as multi-month interviews where the firm and the intern explore fit. It works great for us. Not using internships limits your opportunities in today's market.
Depends what sort of roles. Experience will most often trump grades though

How do I gain experience though without starting a role? I am not in the position to be able to do an internship
It's not about what you know, it's about who you know.
Then your degrees are also worthless.
Definitely depends on what kind fo role you are looking to. It isn't just about your grades though that does sometimes factor in.

What is the main factor in it?
Connections dwarf grades

Connections, experience, people skills

How can you show people skills through an interview?!

I heard the advise if it above 3.2 put it on your resume. If it’s less, just don’t put it. I’ve never had anyone ask me about it though.

Oh interesting! I didn’t know that was a thing, thank you
