What has been the timing between hearing back from your first interview to second (or final) interview to offer?

From first interview to offer :
First big law firm I interviewed for: 9 weeks. Second big law firm: Almost 4 weeks.
Both were about a week or less from first to the second interview

like

As a recruiter, my last three placements have gone from initial submittal to offer in less than a month, with less than a week between phases. All at AmLaw 100 firms, and that timing is pretty typical.

like

I just got hired after a two month process 🥵

like

First to second: a few days (first two virtual were Mon/Tues, then had in-person that Fri)

Offer: 2 months later. No additional interviews.

like

Screener to callback: 3 days. Callback interviews to final interview (with head of group): 1 week. Final interview to offer: 1 week plus 2 or 3 days. But whole process was longer because things took a while to get scheduled.

What’s the hourly pay for others as a quality transaction specialist? I’m at $19.18 and feel it’s low for the inflation rate. HR and leadership refuse to give the salary range definitions and will say if I’m either in the low or median range of pay.

Advice Request: Started my career litigating. Switched to niche transactions (so about half and half at this point). Halfway through a year long sabbatical and reevaluating what I want to do (left before jumping to Senior associate). I’d like to get into litigation again in a practice group I don’t have experience in. Any suggestions on how to do this? How to approach firms and partners etc? Past 2 firms on my resume are top 30.

Mid 2020, I turned down an opportunity to jump ship from my small law firm to a big law firm. At the time I had 4 years of practice under my belt with managerial experience. I thought the offer was reasonable, come in at a 2nd year level, but with the uncertainty of the times I played it safe. Now I regret it. What avenues do I have, if any, to jump into big law from a small firm?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school
