@PWC is worst company for freshers. They are force innocents to resign by themselves and threating then to not to mail anyone and not share this context to anyone worst company, if layoff means ok removing and threatening to not to disclose to anyone means the have lost every single moral. I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Any advice for a couple where one person runs really warm and the other has a cooler body temperature - how do you manage this while sleeping? I feel my body produces a lot of heat. My partner and I love to hold each other at night but post an argument yesterday, he pulled away and told me my body is too hot. Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Give me the strength to set a boundary today and do something fun instead of waiting by my computer for emails

Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm. I turned the offer down. A partner that I clicked with while interviewing reached out asking me why I turned down the offer. Should I be honest and relay what I heard?

To all those in management, how do firms that haven’t instituted pay cuts/furloughs manage to do that? Is it because their clients are still paying the bills, because they are borrowing money, because partners just won’t see profit this coming year? Some combo?

I’ve made it 5+ years in a NY M&A practice and have consistent exceeding expectations reviews. I’ve had a few mental breakdowns because of work during this time, but thankfully made it through.
