Causality: The Mixtape by Cunningham
Fella was my thesis advisor and this is cool to see! He is an outstanding person and insanely competent
Depends on how casual you want. Udemy has a bunch of good courses that go into general ML concepts; if you go this route, I recommend doing a course taught by Frank Kane, he’s an incredible teacher. Otherwise, youtube has a ton of ML videos you can learn from!
Lol oops

There's a non-ML Coursera class on causality from Penn. Should start there. Then ramp up with Imben's critique of Pearl's book. Only then start getting into ML once you have an idea of what's what on the stats/econ side
Just completed the Coursera course on ML by Stanford/Andrew Ng. Best way to get started on ML!!
DSL1 - don’t give up. If that’s what you want there are always opportunities out there. Look outside and you will find something. Usually the team you worked for several years gets used to seeing you in that level.
I personally had a totally different journey- I grew up building large systems and became a SM there and then moved to a different company working in AI/ML. So learning it now :)
