What is a suitable career path for a Lead Developer? My manager has asked me a few times to get into a Manager role. However, I would rather stay in tech than get into middle management, as I love what I do right now, which is mostly coding and mentoring junior team mates. Something like Principal engineer or architect sounds more appealing to me.

So I have claimed exemptions on the following-
1) HRA
2) 5 year term deposit(fixed deposit) under Section 80C
3) Interest on education loan under Section 80E

I have also provided previous employment details.

Over the last couple of months I’ve interviewed for a number of jobs and made it to second and third round interviews but never got an offer. My last interview was on Monday and I got feedback that I did not get selected because it did not seem like I was a a team player.
