What is an appropriate amount of time to give before leaving a firm for another? Just accepted an offer today but the firm wants me to start in one week. Is it ok to not give two weeks notice if I want any chance of not burning bridges on the way out? I could back up the new job by a week but I am worried that it could jeopardize the offer.

I got offer from XYZ company, but my current company ABC had a call with me and had me stay in the current company. They offered me same offer which XYZ offered. But they officially didn't give any offer letter but they said you will get revised salary in march month. But I didn't receive revised salary. I just have mail confirmation regarding retention offer. Again I spoke to concerned person this month, they said, central team is processing still, in April'22 u will receive revised salary.
