How soon do most companies let you know if you're not proceeding to the next round of interviews? Do they let you know within the day, a day after, or a week usually?

Does anyone talk about economic diversity? You know middle class and economically challenged people who cannot afford art schools and expensive private colleges?

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? Are there any well-off suburbs around Chicago where there's a significant amount of black or mixed race people? Significant meaning 40-50%+. I've seen a lot of nice black suburbs in southern and eastern cities but less in the midwest. In an interracial relationship and want to get an idea if there are any suburbs where our kids would feel represented or if we'll need to move down south for that.

How do you handle a subordinate that goes around your decision making and goes higher up in the food chain? My boss (and their boss) made it clear I’m supposed to review and provide feedback and yet now they are fully saying no and going around me. I had my LWD on 27th june ,before a week of that i had HSbC last round in which I clearly told I wanted to join by 4th july as my next joining is due at that time.
HR agreed and told will fast track your bgv .
Now the problem is they released offer for 11thJuly saying will preponed in case bgv finished early.
Today I again got a mail for 18th july extension.

Am quite worried here now, as I already said no to other companies !should I try looking again.

I have recently received an offer from HSBC for Data Engineer profile. The designation offered is Senior Analyst- Information Management. They said that it is a techno functional role. Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side.
