Your gut is right on this one. I think you have to explain to the partner what's going on in a matter of fact way and explain they need to give direction to the junior if you are expected to supervise them.

We aren't talking about some mistakes you find in their work, they shouldn't be raising their voice at anyone. Don't worry about tattling.

OP, maybe this junior understands that things like “hierarchy” are a remnant of a toxic patriarchy that you’re perpetuating. Release people to work how they feel most comfortable.
What do I say to my boss? Any help would be appreciated. I’m honestly worried that this person will say something ridiculous about me (although my boss and I have a great rapport and doubt they would believe them anyways)

Don't phrase it any particular.way, just meet with your boss and explain everything that happened and seek advice. Tell the truth and tell it in a matter of fact way.
