On the first appointment
one misconception that people have about me or medicine that annoys me is that we are all-knowing and infallible. This is simply not true. Doctors are human beings, and we make mistakes just like everyone else. We are also constantly learning and evolving, so our knowledge and understanding of medicine is always changing.
People think that doctors are omnipotent and can cure any disease, or that doctors are incompetent and cannot cure any disease. In fact, doctors are only human beings, and they have their own abilities and limitations. They are not gods either and they cannot violate the laws of nature. They can only do their best to provide patients with the best diagnosis and treatment based on existing medical knowledge and technology. However, medicine is not perfect, nor is it static. It is an evolving and changing science that requires constant exploration and innovation. There are currently no effective treatments for some diseases, or there are many uncertain factors. This does not mean that doctors are useless or ignorant, but it does mean that doctors need more support and encouragement, as well as more cooperation and communication. This is my view.
