What is one of the "wildest" recruiting emails you've gotten from a recruiter? What made it the "wildest"?

Way #1, you get wild emails like this one.

The first time I lateraled, my initial recruiter ghosted me after talking me into doing an interview while I had Covid (which I bombed). She recently reached out to touch base to see if I was interested in exploring options.

Well, are you 😌

Just kidding

The ones where they frame it like you dropped the ball on responding to something to get your attention are criminal.

I used to practice myself, and I would absolutely never send something like this. Thank you for the clarity and honesty

I don't think I've had any very interesting ones, most of them are just for jobs that are in completely unrelated industries that have nothing to do with me and waste my time. I guess I would say that that's pretty wild 😆

This can be frustrating, for sure

Not an email but had one call me on my
work phone in the middle
of a work day. Took me by surprise at the boldness.

Lucky to not be an associate when there were only phones

I’m getting ones basically asking me to do their job with referrals. Same person 4 days apart…

They are literally asking for you to reply, asking for references it’s just a workaround if they can’t fully reach out to people at that firm/group etc.

I'm at a smaller MM bank. My original goal was to start here and hustle through into a BB, but I wasn't expecting to really like the people (my team, my direct seniors). I joined fishbowl a month ago and while I’ve seen a couple contentious debates but I must say I’m pleasantly surprised at how respectfully ppl comment on this app even when disagreeing. Usually anonymity on the internet brings out the absolute worst in ppl; they type things anonymously that they would NEVER say in person smh. But I really haven’t seen horrible comments here. I wonder what makes this app diff frm others?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?
