I recently got an offer at a prestigious company making almost double what I make now (OTE). It is also a promotion on the job title which will help for long term career prospects.

The only downfall is I also have a final round interview with literally my dream job later this week.

The company who gave me the offer wants an answer before Thanksgiving. Do I take the good offer and run with it? Or do I roll the dice at the chance at my dream job?

Hi 🐠! I’m relocating from Chicago to The Bay Area later this month, and am wondering what neighborhoods are relatively more affordable and safer to live in. Currently we are considering the following cities:
Fremont, Union City, San Mateo, San Jose. Work is in Menlo Park. Married with no kids.

Over the course of 6 weeks, I had several panel interviews and the next step was a final in-person interview. Each round I had great feedback and my correspondence with the company recruiter was consistent and friendly. Until now. After a week of radio silence since my last interview, I sent a gentle polite follow up that has gone unanswered for almost a week. I saw that the original JD was reposted on LinkedIn a few days before my last interview (ugh). Am I being ghosted? So confusing.

Does anyone know if I can transfer H1B with an expired passport? I work on H1B which expires in 2023 and can be renewed on an approved I-140. I just got a new offer and the company will file an H1B transfer for me. However my passport expired last month and my consulate is refusing to renewal my passport due to covid.

Hello. I’m working on H1B and recently got a promotion. My company is amending my H1B and told me that since my new job is remote I can only work at my apartment (since it’s my legal location). Is there any chance they can figure out I’m working remotely from somewhere else?
Also, I’m also in the process of applying for green card (thru employment). Does anyone know the timeline for this given my H1B is getting amended ? (My country has no waiting time).

How long until PwC sponsors GC for a Senior Associate under L1B in the Bay area?

In a dilemma, my firm is ready to apply for my GC (since I satisfy the criteria of working with the firm for 3 years). However my plan is to possibly head to b-school next year - would it be possible for me to attend b-school while my GC application is in progress? What would you advise? Indian.

Have you seen examples of those with L1-B visa changing the employers? I know that L1 visa broadly ties you to your sponsor employer, so in case you are laid off / want to switch jobs; pretty much you are asked to leave the states; so was wondering if there are workarounds to that end.

I know some of my friends are doing EB3 visa (unskilled workers) and they already got GC after 1.5 years. I was really surprise that it takes unskilled workers route much shorter time. So what is preventing ppl from biting the bullet for a year working on farms or fast food chains and gets GC quickly? I’m genuinely curious.
