Hi All,
My LWD in Cognizant was on 21st Oct , I had returned the laptop on that day. But IT approval has not happened yet, and they are saying it will take 3 weeks to get approved, without this approval i can't download any of the documents after exit ... Has anyone faced this issue recently. Is there a way to escalate this?
Any opening for marketplace analyst???

I was on similar shaky ground when I was pregnant. I disclosed the pregnancy shortly before another review (firm did mid and end of year reviews for everyone). They never did anything official to push me out, put in place a formal pip, nor directly told me to look elsewhere. But they said to me — and I use this to motivate myself daily out of spite — we don’t think you can do it once you have a kid. I took my leave and started a lateral search towards the end of it. Went back for a few weeks, and they almost immediately reviewed me again since I missed a round while on leave. Again, no formal push out but it was pretty clear where it was headed reading between the lines. I started my new job about 6 weeks after returning from leave.
I think they were hesitant to be pushy given optics, but I also acknowledge that they could have gotten rid of me at any point if they really wanted to. It’s a tough situation but it will probably work out.
Do they know you’re pregnant? And how pregnant are you? I’d imagine most places are a little cautious because even though they would potentially have a good reason, wouldn’t it look bad and could invite a complaint/litigation (and I’m not an employment lawyer so take with a grain of salt)?
Yes, they know I’m pregnant and currently in my second trimester. Most of my practice group now knows as well, which might help with optics. It sounds like (from conversations I’ve had) the firm is considering a reduction in headcount across the board in the next few months, so that may be a factor as well.
My firm terminated a mid year in her first trimester. They did not care about her pregnancy.
I got laid off while on maternity leave. I had one negative review but tbh, they were doing layoffs at the time and firm was having profit issues
