I got my MBA to switch, but I don’t think it’s necessary depending on what you want to do when you’re in consulting. Happy to talk more if you want to DM me
This is a lot of food for thought, thank you!
I have a wide range of experience within media. The bulk of my experience is in integrated strategy and planning, but I also have experience in digital buying, communications planning, account management, and account operations consulting within my own agency. I’ve worked mostly with enterprise clients, but also some smaller clients and in a variety of verticals. I feel like I have a lot of different experiences to draw from despite the fact that I’ve only worked at ad agencies, so I’m hoping that will be helpful.
Whether I want to specialize or be a generalist is something I’ll have to think about, I wasn’t familiar with the distinction. I’ll definitely be keeping that in mind going into business school. I feel like I need more exposure to other disciplines before I’ll be ready to make that decision. Do salaries and job competition vary between generalists and specialists within the same firm?
Don't have an MBA but considering it!
How necessary is it?
Why consider Ogilvy Consulting?
If you want to come in, you're starting from the beginning with all the undergrad hires.
MBA would help you start one wrung up.
Haven't seen opportunities open at Ogilvy Consulting unfortunately. I also don't mind starting from the beginning if it means I can try my hand at consulting.
