🤔
You can ask all you want.. It's the getting part that's up for debate
My advice is no - you should not go up for SM until you're absolutely ready. You don't want to spend any more time at SM than you have to. If you come up early and flounder there's no going back.
What would you consider the key indicators of readiness SM3? Network / Sponsorship of course - but what would tip the scale in terms of waiting another year?
I don't think it's as simple as you can do the role - you certainly have to have a strong (read broad and respected) network to support you, but you also need to think about how you will immediately start performing at the Partner level if you want to minimize time at SM. That's a tricky balance. Most people end up at SM longer than they need to be because they went up too early
@SM1 help me
You'd be best off learning role and expectations of a SM before gunning for it. If you don't have wide support, you won't make your metrics and you'll get slaughtered. It's not an easy role.
If you're comfortable with the sales targets - why not?
If you're "working on a project" you're not acting as an SM. If you're working on a project and selling work, then maybe.
@SM2 yes I have got ~3M of sales so far
Can you sustain it?
Hell op that's more than a few advisory partners over here
