One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

Cyclists are legally allowed to roll stop signs. Also, last time I checked it wasn’t cyclists killing other road users with alarming frequency due to distracted driving and failing to follow rules of the road.
I’m really sorry to hear that happened to your husband and hope he’s ok. And agreed there are plenty of people who are incredibly irresponsible on bikes (just like anything), but that doesn’t justify throwing blanket statements made by M1 above or the often touted “the rules apply to you too!” from OP when that reasoning is not only flawed often the basis for dangerous/deadly aggression towards cyclists.
What is wrong with the drivers in this city? Hitting on average 2 pedestrians/cyclists per day causing serious injuries and killing someone every 3 days? Rules of the road were designed SPECIFICALLY for you!

There are no rules when you’re trying to beat your last split! I make a point to curse at them frequently, as someone who runs on the Burke Gilman there is no human more insufferable than a 40 year old man in tights peddling as fast as he can through a crowd with his rear higher than his head. Frankly they should ban race bikes from all public areas it’s ridiculous and dangerous

It’s a big trail A2 you’re probably near a less congested area, there’s a major park and parking lot it passes through by me and that’s where the issues are
Car drivers need to hold each other accountable. Or maybe we need to shut down the roads to cars until we figure out what is going on.
Riding during COVID was incredible. I could go for a 50mile ride with seeing minimal cars and significantly less agro drivers out and about.
Cyclists in every city
I don’t think it’s just Seattle
Rules are made to be broken.

This is comedy gold coming from the self proclaimed PE guy 🤣
I don't know what has happened but somehow car drivers in Seattle have become more solicitous of pedestrians than bike cyclists.
I commuted to SLU for 10 years in the early 2000s, riding through some gnarly intersection where a lot of folks were killed (University bridge). Share the road was the word of the day.
Now I run around green lake's outer loop. The city doesn't maintain the path so I turns into a pond if it rains. I hop out into the bike lane on green lake way to stay out of the water. You wouldn't believe how many bicyclists will scream at you, wave their arms in front of you as they pass, or ride straight at you before swerving at the last moment. So much for sharing the road. I never encounter that type of behavior from a Seattle driver anymore when I am running in or crossing a street in my neighborhood.
It also isnt usually the guys pedaling real bikes making the fuss. It's almost always someone on a push to go ebike losing their mind. Probably didn't jump on a bike until they could get into their own lane and didn't have to actually pedal the bike up hill. Much more of a 90s car driver attitude.
You ever use a crosswalk downtown?
