Would you report a neighbor that hit another neighbor's car or mind your business? New to Seattle and not sure what the code of conduct is around here - mind your business or be a good neighbor 😅

Depends on what you mean by report. I'd probably tell the owner of the car that I saw who hit it, but I wouldn't call the cops.

like

I would at least let the neighbor whose car got hit know who did it.

like

Report that mf. I’m in Chicago (not sure why I keep getting notifications for Seattle) but someone just smashed into my parked car. Total bs

like

I should really make sure my catalytic converter is still there

Definitely be a good neighbour

like

I just had to have my car in the shop for 3 weeks because someone hit it and they never left a note….I would absolutely say something.

like

Call the police and see how fast they respond in Seattle 😂😂😂

funny

I don't think be a good neighbor is a concept that should be defined by location...

like

Don't notify and authorities, just let the car owner know. If they want to call the police, it's up to them.

like

This. You never know if that neighbor wants to avoid the cops for a different reason, or not bother with it. Maybe they know the person who did it and want to handle it without insurance. With authorities involved, the owner's options are limited.

like

I would. notify the authorities if it were me. That nasty act should never go unpunished. Stay safe out there!

like

Report it. It’s close enough that you could be next

Yes report that person, I hate that people do this here it's insane

Report it, and give the information to your neighbor. Their insurance company will need it.

Report would be code of conduct.

Um yes, this happened to me! Had to pay the deductible to get my car fixed since it was a hit and run. Don't let that happen to your neighbor.

I would. Thats just me though. I don't let things test my integrity.

Dad passed away 2 months ago. I traveled to India and stayed for 2 months, dealt with significant red tape to close his cards, loans, transfer pensions, etc. A succession certificate is WIP for one of his accounts, so mom decided to stay back until it’s done. Mom has always refused to hire a maid, loves to hoard, cleans superficially, the house is always a mess when I visit and all my India trips are spent cleaning including this one. I’ve fought with her a ton over the last two months as well..
