Patagonia nano puff + any rain shell is an undefeated combo
Truly nobody needs a maxi puffer jacket in Seattle. I have probably 15 coats, one for every possible weather scenario and those puffers get used only when I’m traveling east in the winter. I hate being this person but honestly, just go to REI and try on all of them. IDC if you buy it there, but there are so many to test out it’s worth a trip.
Dang! REI has influencers in Fishbowl?! Amazing.
(I agree with you. I’ve had my Marmot gravity jacket for over a decade and use it for the cold days, and my Mountain Hardware shell for the rain)
I love getting my jackets from LLBean. I look for ones that are wind resistant and go to -40 degrees. They are not too puffy either. I love them so much and they actually work like they are supposed to and say they do!
Patagonia should be fine for Seattle winters for 95% of the time. For adventure outdoors and extreme cold days buy a Canada Goose.
Canada Goose is 🔥
Or Northface
Outdoor Research is a cool local brand as well
Aritzia (they only have womens tho but it’s the best puffer ever)
Depends on what you’re doing and your vibe. If you are an outdoor enthusiast highly recommend Patagonia puffys. If you’re more of a city dweller and get cold easily, Canada Goose. I personally love my Arcteryx Proton Lt Hoody - the Atom would be the similar. I do have the Black Diamond Belay Parka. Mainly used for ice climbing and single digit days. That thing is massive but great.
Patagonia!
Merokeety and Alpha Industries are my favorite ones and they're relatively affordable but still a good quality purchase. I've had mine for years!
I swear by Patagonia.
Recently bought the nylon quilted maxi puffer coat in black from asos design. Also bought the quilted belted trench coat. So happy with my purchase!
Lol those are so not necessary here, we don't have a real winter. You could buy any old "winter jacket" and be fine as long as you're not doing winter sports.
