I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

I have seen numerous videos wherein people buyout roadside vendors in India. When I visited India, I approached an old lady selling veggies. I asked her how much all of this costed, she said Rs 2000. I handed the money and asked her to go home.
Every time my dad passes by her stall, she shouts out and requests that he take something and go. Help our roadside vendors back home, they need help.
I have been donating money to this or they are pretty solid in ground level network and reach to the needy. They have multiple project women, education and employment . Give it a try.

I went to a boarding Aashram for physically challenged kids(mainly with Polio and in their teens) and met with their caretaker in my hometown to check on their current need. I figured that they have a need of good quality printer to apply for government jobs, and they also need latest books on competitive exams with notebooks. I asked caretaker to prepare a list of books after discussing with students. I talked to a local vendor to install good quality printer for school. I have bought competitive exam preparation books with 100-150 notebooks for students.
I also did same exercise in another boarding schools , which provides stay for kids with Low/no eyesight.
I thank my father for finding these places and always motivating me to help these kids. 🙏🏻
Does giving few dollars to the guy near the subway station with the sign “need cash for weed” count? But in all seriousness the charities I do are based around education and sustainable living cause that’s what I believe in. Doesn’t matter if it’s in India or US
