First post? Ok I will start. My SPG nights for 2018 dropped from 101 to 91 after the merger.

The new SPG app is not intuitive at all, very hard to navigate i find.

Was forced to take a cold shower this morning at a Marriott. How many points?

FYI If your name doesn’t match exactly you can’t combine.

And when I called SPG they said the account maintenance wasn’t ready so to call back

So my spg points and nights have still not merged with my Marriott account. Anyone else having this issue?

Having to call Marriott to apply a suite night award to an SPG hotel on a reservation you made before the merger and combining accounts proves to you how much is still SO WRONG with this merger.

Serious question: Sheraton cancelled my reservation and I was stranded for a night last night. Called CS and my useless ambassador and they cant help and “sorry”. How do I escalate this?

We Indians are so poor we can't think anything else except money. Whole Fishbowl is all about YOe and Salary. No one interested about if any company doing any innovation or not. B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.

Luggage delay claim question

I used Chase explorer to buy tickets for my vacation and luggages were delayed for a month. Per chase term I am entitled $100 a day for 3 days. But the claim agency chase used has been asking for airlines response, which has not came (2month+ now). I am concerned insurance will use this as an excuse to never compensate. Is there a good way to handle this situation?
