What should an acceptable salary expectation be for me?

I’ve been declined by two of the big name employers in Norway, both in the final interview rounds, and I suspect it was due to my expectations being too high.

I have 6yoe as a backend/fullstack but the positions I applied to were still not “Senior”Backend Developer, just Software Developer.
However, I still told them my expectations are at around 900k or upwards.

Is it not the norm for the company to negotiate here in Norway?
