But you bring up a really good professional ethics Q. I’d actually take it pretty seriously, call up your state board’s confidential questions line or similar. Surely this was addressed pre-covid, but it’s never been more prevalent or important.
I live with roommates - so I store everything in my closet in my room. Honestly probably not good enough if everything hit the fan.
We had our nanny sign one. Between my job and my husband’s (he’s a doctor), we have a lot of confidential documents in our house we felt like we needed to protect. We also tend to leave out personal financial documents for each other and we wanted that information protected in the event our nanny inadvertently saw it. We explained the underlying reason to our nanny so she didn’t think we were crazy (she totally understood, fwiw).
Thanks for the advice, im glad to hear that some caregivers are understanding about things like that
