NDAs for Nannies? I was wondering how everyone who is doing some work from home during covid handles in-house caregivers? Obviously we all take all steps to protect confidential information and realistically a caregiver isn't going to be exposed to anything we do, but does anyone require an NDA just to be on the safe side? (I dont have an in home caregiver yet, but just thinking about it.)

Only reason not to would be spooking potential hires.

But you bring up a really good professional ethics Q. I’d actually take it pretty seriously, call up your state board’s confidential questions line or similar. Surely this was addressed pre-covid, but it’s never been more prevalent or important.

I live with roommates - so I store everything in my closet in my room. Honestly probably not good enough if everything hit the fan.

We had our nanny sign one. Between my job and my husband’s (he’s a doctor), we have a lot of confidential documents in our house we felt like we needed to protect. We also tend to leave out personal financial documents for each other and we wanted that information protected in the event our nanny inadvertently saw it. We explained the underlying reason to our nanny so she didn’t think we were crazy (she totally understood, fwiw).

looking for a new (remote) job with 2 YOE. recruiter asked me what my range was, I turned it around and asked her for the range, she said it caps at 60k and I told her I was looking at a minimum of 70k. she met with the company owner (a lawyer) and he agreed to push it to 70k for the right fit. if I get an offer, can I ask for more or is the 70k already the final negotiation?

Advice, please!A local, well established firm is seeking me out. I was upfront that I was not looking but because he was persistent and this could be something I’m interested in for the future, I had a sit down with him. At the end, he said the ball was in my court and he would love for me to go through a formal interview. The firm seems great, but my current position is 100% remote and fits perfectly into my schedule. Do I interview even though I wouldn’t consider changing until next year?!

Just accepted a formal offer for a remote position last week. I start in July and need to give my two weeks notice by Friday. Still need to do background and maybe drug test (I am not worried about it) but was waiting to make sure everything is sorted before giving my notice. I have started onboarding, doing surveys for equipment, received welcome emails from team and even started taking photos for badge ID. Should I give my notice or wait for the background check to come back and drug test.

What’s the consensus on tattoos in the insurance workplace? I’m in leadership and considering exploring my options due to recent personnel changes. I work remote and have arm sleeves, and any time I would be in-person I’d of course wear a long sleeve shirt to be professional, but worry about a cuff rolling up and tattoos being somewhat visible. Nothing is offensive by any means.

Everyone in the comments said more productive at home and I'm curious if this bowl would have a different consensus. I'm way more productive in the office, although I don't go that often, so maybe it's the change of scenery that helps.
