What to do if offered a job that pays 2/3 of what you used to make but are unemployed and broke? Is it a death sentence to ever getting back where I was or is there hope?

This is a shit job in a shit neighborhood for a shit industry I truly want nothing to do with, but need money.

My unemployment still hasn't come through and we all know that also only pays about 2/3 of previous pay, so is this even worth it? Just wait for unemployment and risk utilities getting shut off? Having morals sucks.

Hi! I recently switched to a new employer, who promised in writing on email that they’d start my GC process right after I complete 3 months with the firm. I’m currently on the 4th month and the process has not yet begun.
Please note that I have to give a couple of exams/certifications, one of which I failed very recently. This is keeping me from asking my employer about the GC process. Am I being irrational? Any advice or help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Need help: my dad did an interview for US citizenship in May and he passed but they said they will do some ‘investigation’ and will hear back within 120 days. Its been more than that and we haven’t heard back. I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
