Our principal along with group of teachers sing and play as a band PBIS songs they write — the kids go crazy as if it’s a Led Zeppelin concert
That sounds like one of my favorite principals who did many crazy dance, song and acting videos that were hilarious. Most all staff participated one way or another even to hold up a hilarious sign as the others danced by. And once a week, I think in the middle of the school day, I’m not sure, but a very popular song among children and staff alike was played over the intercom. All participating staff, cooks, secretary, teachers, aides, custodians, principal, counselor would come out and dance/sing/clap in the halls and through the classrooms and encourage kids to sing and dance for 3 to 5 minutes. Everyone who would rather not, just laughed and enjoyed it. It woke everyone up, got most everyone in a cheerful positive mood to help get through the rest of the day. It may have been Friday’s. So much fun.
Haven’t had an assembly since 2019 unfortunately 😕.
Given covid they have posted them online too
Our principal alongside our teachers and school committee came up with mindfulness activities for our students including some competitive challenges. It was a blast!

Reality Town. It might be more impactful for high school, but I can see it working for middle school. We did it around the time we had our career fair. It was really eye opening for a lot of students. You need lots of help from staff or community volunteers, but it’s really impressive when it comes together.

Our school had the fun run fundraiser event in 2018. All the kids and adults had a blast. In addition, prior to COVID we would have field day and carnival. It was tons of fun. At the carnival, the kids got popcorn, fruit snacks and popsicles!!
We had grade level assemblies for cafeteria rules and another for school wide behavior. Three feet apart of course.
