I interviewee with EY 20 years ago. Was told by the partner an offer was coming within a few hours.....still waiting. 😜
EY has the most lengthy interview process in the world. I couldn’t believe how much time went by between interviews. When the recruiter eventually asked me why I declined the offer, I said I had already accepted an offer at Deloitte — but if they had moved faster, I would have been at EY.
It’s different if you’re being hired right out of college or if you’re a professional applying for a non-entry level position. Experienced hire interviews always take a little longer.
Applied in December. Started interviewing in January. Started working in mid-March, so 2.5 months-ish.
Yeah - I assume you already sent a thank you note post interview…then if it’s been a week since your last follow up, send another one to check status of decision. They laid off a bunch of recruiters a while back so that team is running really lean. Following up won’t hurt.
