I work in sales as a coordinator and do a bunch of paperwork with customers online. I LOVE PEOPLE but dread going to work everyday (wfh 3x a week) because the environment is toxic. I just found out that the only positive manager on my team is leaving. I am spiraling. I have a BS in Health Science (no chemistry classes taken and minimal biology education). Where are people happy in their careers? What careers are best for young women with ADHD? Who’s hiring?

I am looking for >/= 60k a year, paid holidays and generous PTO, good benefits, 401k company match. I want to work with other intelligent people. I like math, people, helping others, food, thinking outside the box etc. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I would say, try looking for a career in tech. Invest in a BootCamp to become a UX/UI candidate. It is difficult to think of something other than what you went to school but sometimes you have to look outside the box.

What other skills do you have? Or what line of work you think will work for you? I know where you're coming from because I came from a toxic working environment too. Had to suffer mentally for a while so I took a big leap and ventured on something else. I am a former social worker but now an analyst. Being an analyst works for me and for my ADHD for some reason.

Might you share your skillset with us so we know where to start? What industry do you think you would really enjoy working in? Anyway, are you planning on leaving that company any time soon? I don't think it's going to be healthy for you if you stay longer.

I advocate for what is right. I can articulate what I need to in an appropriate and affective manner. I want to be built up and grow in my profession. And I want to feel valued.

I am struggling to find a job in UX, I received my Master's in UX Design from Kent State University last year with a 4.0 GPA but that doesn't seem to matter. I have applied to hundreds of posts with barely any replies back. My education has taught me a lot however I feel I need the work experience to be taken seriously. I have applied to many junior and intern positions with no luck. How do I break in to the UX field with an education but no job experience?

How competitive is this, and what should I negotiate for please? The written offer comes after verbal agreement.

I don’t like managing people, especially juniors who are still figuring out their career paths. But at my company, in order to be considered a leader, you have to manage people. I have a non-technical degree (Bachelor of Arts) and have been in management consulting at a Big 4 the last 5 years. I want to pivot my career to do something more meaningful - make a positive impact in the world, rather than continuing to help rich corporations get richer.

Thinking that doing a Masters will help arm myself with environmental / sustainability knowledge and a network.

Whew this group is a relief to find. No one at my job knows I have ADHD, and I only have one other friend with it. I manage a team of people and the stress of checking, double checking, and triple-checking everything to make sure I'm not forgetting anything or behind on anything is insane. I've kind of got the hang of keeping focus during work hours, but I'm just constantly on edge that someone will notice or I'll start falling behind.
