What would you do? Take job fully remote and more flexible/work life balance $100K or stay at your current job return to office $120K + potential 10% bonus, no desk, bad office environment/moral, but comfortable because you know the company and work.

I’d take the remote/flexible job because I’m tired of living for the future. I want to live now and enjoy my life now.

like

I'm definitely going remote on this one. If you calculate the take home pay with each salary it ends up not being all that different, or not enough of a difference to make me want to endure a miserable office environment one day longer.

like

Remote with more flexibility. Our environments are important and I'd rather be happy and rested

like

That works out to a dilemma. This sounds cynical, but I'm wary of jobs these days that say they're fully remote, as that could always change. A hundred grand and remote work sounds okay, if it's somehow guaranteed. I've been back in the office and I don't really mind it, but it sounds like your current company's office isn't a picnic. Again it seems like a dilemma, but I'd err on the side of staying with the company I know.

like

I should mention I am the only one from my team that is being forced back. Everyone else doesn’t live in the state or is too far. The new company I don’t live near a hub so I think it’s fully remote - no option to go back.

like

You’d have to pay me more than an extra $20k to make the hassle of going into an office worth it.

like

Remote job 100% because you could also be doing other part time jobs that can fill the 20k gap with the amount of time you will be saving

like

I’d stay remote.

like

If career advancement is the same at both, I’m taking remote all day. That’s a 30k difference BEFORE tax. Take 30% out and you’re looking at roughly 1500 more each month. Not enough for me personally.

How long is the commute

I would go for remote. I wish I had a offer like that, I would take it right now!

Take the remote job. $20k isn’t anything after taxes when you are commuting and have added expense of driving and parking.

Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? Anyone has seen any impact on conversion rates?

Hello! Any tips on entering mid law or in-house in Cincinnati graduation. Currently, a 3L at a New York school (not top ranked), 3.17 GPA. I do have good work experience working as a state judicial law intern, member of a hybrid SA program between my school and a big-law firm, and currently as an intern working on Smart Contracts and a legal advisor to the company’s CLM team. However, its been difficult to get my foot in the door and I am worried its because of grades. Can anyone provide advice?

I graduated with a BA in Cinema and Television Arts; specifically in Entertainment Media Management. I wasn’t able to do an internship because of work and personal stuff. Does anyone know any good tips of what entry level positions I should look into?

What other solutions/therapies can I use with my kid? Please, any advice is welcome!

Need advice. Have some credit card debt that I’ve been working to pay off. Have made progress but want to lower it quickly. We have dual income, with a house (~$300k in equity), 1 kid and 1 on the way. I’ve looked into debt consolidation via HELOC but also have ~$80k in vested equity in my company that I haven’t touched. Get equity refreshes every year. Would it be smarter to cash out $15k-$20k of that to pay debt vs. a HELOC at ~5% given that will still require mthly payments

Anyone here with experience as a Product Manager? I’ve close to decade of consumer lending experience including Sales/Advisory, Supervisor and Underwriting. I have have been looking to pivot into a more impactful role this year. I am due for an interview for a Product Manager next week. The company ticks all my boxes but the job description a bit vague. I will be grateful if anybody willing to share what the day role looks like and what I need to look out for in an interview. Thanks. Cheers.

Should I decline the offer and ask to be considered for a higher role that better fits my qualifications? The offer I had was with a great bank but I'm overqualified for that. Its been hard to find a job because I dont have prior experiences.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].
