What’s everyone’s favourite part about their job? Personally I’d say mine is the culture at my company. The office is such a kind and fun place to be, which I’ve never experienced before now!

That we are fully remote. The company I was with did a full return to office earlier this year and I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to find another remote job because they are incredibly competitive. I got extremely lucky to find the position I'm in now. The added flexibility and freedom of working from home makes my job so much more tolerable even during the stressful periods.

We recently got the ok to schedule our orientation and delivery date for our IVF medications and all I have to say is ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF! My husband has dermatomyositis, and his doctor put off treatment so that we could do some collection and go through IVF. I felt like my dr was blowing off our timeline, but I persisted. I worked with CVS Caremark directly and got approval in 2 days (not the expected 3 weeks). Moral of the story: ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!

How did you get started?

Hey all! I’m 30 years old. About to close on a house with a 5.75% fixed 30 yr mortgage. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? The 5.75% doesn’t feel that low but also not crazy high so I’m torn. Thoughts? 🙏

Billables as a mid-level IP litigation associate at Big Law, AM100, and AM200 firms? I’m currently doing 60% patent prosecution, 40% litigation at a mid-sized IP boutique and am considering lateraling for a patent litigation position, but I’m concerned about work life balance, especially since my SO and I are expecting. I currently have a 1900 target, and I routinely bill about 2000. I’m interviewing at DLA, Saul Ewing, Honigman, and Fox Rothschild (all DC offices).
