We recently got the ok to schedule our orientation and delivery date for our IVF medications and all I have to say is ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF! My husband has dermatomyositis, and his doctor put off treatment so that we could do some collection and go through IVF. I felt like my dr was blowing off our timeline, but I persisted. I worked with CVS Caremark directly and got approval in 2 days (not the expected 3 weeks). Moral of the story: ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!

Why would your husbands skin inflammation condition have anything to do with sperm collection? This post doesn’t make any sense. Your IVF egg retrieval has nothing to do with this. Seems like incoherent rambling.

I think what she’s saying is that the husband’s doctor postponed husband’s treatment so the couple could get IVF done first and collect more semen samples from the husband. It sounds like the wife’s doc may not have been too optimistic that they would be able to get the meds in time to do IVF within the short window of time (where the husband’s doc postponed treatment so the treatment meds wouldn’t adversely impact the semen being collected).

It was worded oddly but I think that’s what The Author is saying.

Ok, I haven’t done an HSA previously, but considering it for my family during this next open enrollment. What do I need to know about high deductible plans? How do y’all feel about the HSA - any downsides? I’m honestly a little worried about the higher OOP costs, but we’re also not significant users/consumers of healthcare, knock on wood. Anyone regret it and go back to a normal PPO/POS insurance?

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)

Went for a pre-employment drug test yesterday. They never asked me if I was on any medications. I had to ask them and was told "oh yeah, just put any you may think make a difference in this text box." I put Xanax, Flexeril, and gabapentin. All of which are prescribed and used as directed. Now I'm terrified that I should have put ALL my meds, to including my psych meds. I've been sober over 12 years and never touched drugs (just booze) but I'm having a full blown panic attack.

First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.
