A World Cup ticket.
it’s been a good while since i’m truly impressed by a cohort of super bowl ads ….
Heavily depends on the brand/spot.
I’d wager the largest World Cup spots are going to be more expensive given the talent roster and global broadcast over 1 month or so.
The Super Bowl is one and done and really only interesting for the US.
Super Bowl bc it’s a one time media event and more of a commodity. Both the media and the production. World Cup goes on much longer, fewer eyeballs at the same time, more sponsors, etc
To produce? SuperBowl mostly because so many brands lean on celebrity talent.
For media buy? SuperBowl because each 30-second slot it $8M+.
SuperBowl as its one moment would be a higher cost but focused on US market.
World Cup would be lower but has a massive global audience that dwarfs American football. Therefore much higher overall spending and different tiers across markets.
But like for like revenue for a final, I’d be keen to see a comparison. I presume it would still be World Cup due to sheer volume of viewers.
