It’s still up to her manager to instill time management on her if she has taken on too much
Uh yeah. Mention it. Don't be afraid to be a good person and remember the human. If your met with negativity in anyway, that's an important thing to experience and learn how your company's culture is.
Is there any way to improve the situation? Is the team worth your “fucks”? If you answered yes, you should fight to improve the place m. Otherwise, pack and go (but talk to your manager about the AM! Maybe people aren’t in denial and the dude needs a time off before he loses his shit)
These comments sparked something for me: there are probably A LOT of people in this industry that are too scared to raise their hand in these situations. Especially when it comes to minorities, women, & juniors. I can speak from experience on both sides.
I’ve way overworked myself because I’m hyper critical of myself - which somehow makes me convinced I’m never doing enough even in situations when I’m the only one keeping the project together. And when I’m feeling like that I never speak up for myself.
On the other hand, I’ve raised flags for others around me and, pending I have a good relationship with my team, I’ll raise my hand and be straight forward about asking for help.
Maybe we SHOULD do more to watch out for each other? It’s so easy to get caught up in your own head.
Definitely bring it up. He or she might not be aware of the AMs condition and if they are a good manager, they’ll take action to remedy the situation
Get out while u can
Should I ask the AM for permission first? It could be her fault that she’s doing all that work partly
