Don’t live in the loop/river north/streeterville.
If you have a good budget- places like Old Town is great, Lakeview (east/otherwise). Personally, if you’re just working remote from home, find a good neighborhood with good grocery stores/access to transit, etc. My personal favorite is Andersonville. Wicker and Bucktown, as well as Logan are also good. Pilsen is “on the rise.”
Also wicker and buck town are not close to the lake front
Old Town and Lake View East are my favorites
Definitely not Gold Coast
Gold Coast is a prime location. You have access to multiple bar scenes - a walk from the lakefront, mag mile, old town Lincoln park and river north it’s in the middle of everything. It is expensive but you are accessible to everything
I have some ideas, but they are mostly for associates and senior associates. Not sure if you’d like them as an analyst. Sorry.
North center, Roscoe village, or old town if you can afford it
Looking for a roommate in Old Town if anyone is interested! $1,200 price range for a master bedroom + own bathroom in a 3b/3bt

I went with a townhouse in Lakeview. It rocks! three floors, top floor is bedrooms, middle floor is kitchen, entertainment space, and an outdoor patio, and bottom floor is used as our office. Has a garage too. One roommate and all in cost is $2500 / month. Like three blocks from Wrigley
Lived in loop in 2019 (Aqua tower) and moved to river west in 2020 (still in river west). Loop is cool if you’re new to town and don’t know too many ppl in Chicago / plan to have friends from out of town visit. But otherwise pretty expensive and gets old fast. I like river west bc it’s a bit further from the noise but still close to the city if I want to go in. Cheaper rent and a bit more spacious.
Lakeview
About to rent my condo in Gold Coast. You should rent it. 😀
What’s your budget? A ton of luxury rentals downtown we’re just offering 3 months off gross ~25% depressed rental rates.. that’s now normalizing to ~1-2 months off gross.
Northern neighborhoods- bucktown/wi ker/lakeview/roscoe
East Lake View or Lincoln Park
Depends if roommates or not. Old town of bars reopen is undisputed best place to be for new grads. Affordability from Lincoln park to about the Wellington stop in lakeview. Don’t live in wrigley
Wrigley is worn out. Nothing wrong just my opinion. Can visit wrigley living isn’t necessary
